Founding Connectors
Know an owner whose business is better than it looks from the outside?
You may know a business owner whose work is strong, but whose story, customer proof, website, or follow-up does not show the real quality of the business.
How it works
A genuine introduction is the whole job.
- Identify a business which fits the owner-led profile.
- Make a genuine three-way introduction.
- Share brief context about why the owner may be a fit.
- Step back unless the owner asks you to remain involved.
You do not need to sell, scope, deliver the project, join a network, or become a member of anything.
Who to think of
Think of one owner whose business is stronger than the public path suggests.
- Runs a really good business.
- Can make a decision without a committee.
- Has room for more of the right work.
- Has customer or project value high enough that one recovered opportunity matters.
- Has a public story or follow-up process which is weaker than the actual business.
What can I send the owner?
Forward the brief which fits the conversation.
You can send either owner-facing PDF before or after making the introduction. The connector guide is the short reference for your role and the founding economics.
Prefer email? Write Dmitri directly at dmitri@mrsunshine.me and copy the owner when they are ready.
Three-way introduction example
Dmitri, meet Owner, who owns Company. I thought of them because the business has a strong reputation and there may be more customer proof and follow-up potential than is currently visible. Owner, Dmitri is building Goodwind Collective and personally leads a ten-day sprint for owner-led businesses. I will let the two of you take it from here.
Referral form
Send the context before or after the three-way introduction.
The form helps us understand the relationship, the owner, and why the business may fit. A qualified introduction still needs permission and real context.

Questions before you introduce someone.
What is a Founding Connector?
A Founding Connector knows an owner, believes the business may fit, makes a genuine three-way introduction, and shares brief context about the relationship. The connector does not have to sell, scope, manage, or deliver the engagement.
What counts as a qualified introduction?
A qualified introduction includes a real owner or day-to-day decision-maker, a business which broadly fits the owner-led profile, a clear reason the business may benefit, permission to connect the parties, and a genuine three-way message or conversation.
How are Founding Connectors paid?
The working compensation is 10% of collected client service revenue during the first six months, capped at $3,000 per referred client. Payment is made after client funds clear and according to the written agreement. Existing opportunities, duplicate referrals, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, pass-through expenses, and regulated-industry restrictions should be addressed in that agreement.
Can I remain involved after the introduction?
Yes, when the owner wants that and your involvement helps the conversation. A connector who begins qualifying, shaping, or helping close the engagement may move into a Sales Partner role with different compensation agreed before the close.
Can I call myself a Goodwind partner publicly?
Only after the role and brand usage are agreed in writing. During the early phase, use the specific role which has been approved, such as Founding Connector, Sales Partner, or Delivery Partner. Do not imply ownership, employment, authority to bind Goodwind, or a permanent partnership.
